VA Toddler Dies After Being Bitten By Dog Visiting Family In Frederick: Officials

A toddler has died after being attacked by a dog on Tuesday night in Frederick County, authorities announced.

At approximately 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday, April 4, first responders were called to the 400 block of West B Street, where a 2-year-old reportedly went into cardiac arrest after being bitten by a dog.

The child was airlifted by Maryland State Police to Frederick Health Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Brunswick Police and Frederick Animal Control are investigating the dog attack.

Police say that the child and his family are Fauquier County natives from Virginia. No other information was released about the victim. The dog has been placed in quarantine.
